The alloying powder is supplied directly to the plasma arc and shielding gas ensures protection of the welding pool against atmospheric impact. Energy of highly-concentrated plasma arc is almost completely consumed in the metal melting process. Heat input into the base metal and interfusion ratio are eliminated.
