Working part of the AWR© cutters is covered with wear-resistant tungsten-carbide coating applied through plasma transferred arc welding.
Building-up of the working part of the AWR© cutter ensures:
- additional wear protection of the cutter;
- arcing reduction in case of contact with rocks.
Wear-resistant plasma transferred arc welding:
- Chemical composition of coating: NiCrBSi + tungsten carbides
- Matrix hardness: 54 HRC
- Carbides hardness: > 1700 HV0.03
- Carbides content: 60%
